Alison has an broad background that includes work in food media, marketing, and creative content development. Her background in television & video production spans over 20 years. Alison has written & produced for A&E, Discovery Channel, Food Network, TLC & more. Additionally, with her HEALTHY KIDS COOK platform, Alison teaches whole-food education and healthy eating via cooking for children (& their awesome adults) across the country. Through new and traditional media platforms, Alison inspires and creatively informs people about the integrity and joy of food.

Alison Caldwell holds a M.A. in Food Systems & Culture from New York University. Her care for a fair food system inspired her to pursue a path where sustainable agriculture and social responsibility intersect by acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the origins, patterns, and future of food on a local and global scale. Alison consults, creates content, and educates where food, politics, and culture merge.

Alison has traveled the globe writing, speaking, photographing, & producing video content around food and farm issues. Alison has lived and worked in India with the Navdanay Biodiversity Research Farm, is a published writer in the field of Food Studies, and has been a feature solo photographer/artist at the James Beard House gallery in New York City. Alison is an Alice Water’s Edible Academy alum, the former curriculum developer at the Boys & Girls Club of America’s, Center for a Healthy Lifestyle with their cooking and farming program, and a San Diego Girl Scouts community partner. Alison speaks, writes, creates, and teaches about all things food, politics, culture, farming, and education.
